Gin, elderflower cordial, lemongrass syrup, rosewater and soda. GIN. GIN IS MY LIFE.
Recipe [of sorts] after the jump.
Fill a glass with ice, pour a good inch or two of elderflower cordial in, add two shots of gin. Add a measure of lemongrass syrup, top up with soda water and add a slice of lime and some mint leaves.
Lemongrass syrup
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup caster sugar [or just equal quantities of both]
2 lemongrass stalks, sliced.
Add the water, sugar and lemongrass to a pan, and bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Keep on a low heat for around 10 mins, then allow to cool and poor into a jar, and leave to infuse. I made this in the morning and used it in the evening, though doubtless a longer infusion time will lead to a stronger syrup.
cin cin to gin gin!
